So, your humble author once again was required to go to Kennedy Airport. This time I stayed for a while. So the roads still suck, even after I complained a week ago about it. I would have thought they would of had that problem corrected by now. they are tearing apart perfectly good parking lots and forcing you to be half a mile away from the nearest terminal parked in a over congested multi level parking lot. None of the employees speak English. Everything is overpriced. There are no real concessions with recognizable names. Once again, in those concessions, no one speaks English as they clean and load their AK-47s.
Did I mention that JFK airport really sucks. It's time to scrap the power away from the Port Authority of NY/NJ. Bad enough we can't get rid of the bums in elected office. Who knows how these yahoos got control. I won't even get to the control they have exercised in the World Trade Center rebuild. In all fairness, there is a great deal of external pressure pulling the focus of the project askew. I'm bitching about unpleasant trips to the airport and all those poor folks who were wiped away in that one day! What do I have to complain about? Their spirits cry out for rebirth from that Downtown pit. Our (yes all of us America) non-stop bickering over a proper memorial is stopping us from giving the due respect to the lost souls of September 11, 2001. The best memorial and use of the area is steadfast progress. Rebuild, carry on, move forward. Remember that on this spot we lost 3000 people in one day. Our testament to them is that we did not let their attackers stop us. We picked up and were ourselves once again. Our dead live in our hearts and in our spirit as we flex our arms and wipe the tears from our eyes for our lost, and the sweat off our brow from rebuilding out of the ash and twisted steel.
And all I can do is complain about JFK airport?

JFK Airport has to be...
the most fucked up place in the developed western world. I have a head cold this week that I am recuperating from. My balance is not in the greatest state that it could be in. Driving on those roads, the constant turning, terminal to terminal. I could understand if it went around in a circle (like it use to, back in the less sophisticated days of air travel during the 1970s and early 1980s. Now, it seems that the airport has been under constant redevelopment for the past 19 years and it does not seem to be any where near completion.
JFK is really a jack off excuse for a major airport to one of the world's greatest metropolises. I personally feel that we should just level JFK and start from scratch. Maybe JFK would improve if it was actually ran by some accountable elected body rather than a politically non-accountable authority.
That airport really sucks. I'm suffering from vertigo because I had to ride on those damned roads. I think I need to wretch.

As usual, I'm late for the party.
I never heard about the fake Steve Jobs blogs. So this week, when the NY Times busted the Forbes magazine columnist who was writing the fake Steve Jobs blog, I was filled with the greatest desire to see what this was all about. This writing is hilarious. I am planning to start reading the blog from the earliest posts available to the present. I am sure that since Fake Steve has been found out and identified in public, the writing may loose some of the edgy quality that it demonstrated in the past. You have to check this out. It is hilarious.

Shows you should listen to.
Leo Laporte is such a benefit to society. You should really give a listen to his available podcasts. You can find links to the podcasts he produces at either www.leoville.com or www.twit.tv.
I did not know much about Leo Laporte until I began watching "The Screen Savers" on TechTV once I had access to advanced cable channels. TechTV and the Screen Savers are no more. Leo Laporte none the less is heavily active in technology broadcasting. Podcasting has made some very entertaining and informative people easily available. I would highly recommend that folks trying to keep a feeling of the pulse of technology within their grasp listen to these podcasts.
And they are Macintosh friendly.
I don't want to go on about podcasting. I love the technology. It makes my life much better. I thrill at the ability to get all this information and being able to port it anywhere I want to. Either my phone, mp3 player, PDA, computer. It's such a convenience. I love being a 21st Century member of the human race.

Something interesting to say?
I am just writing this for the sake of writing. I don't have anything interesting to say. I just felt I should put something in this blog since I haven't added anything to this since August of 2006.
Today is the first day of the Memorial Day weekend. I am looking to have fun, but that is most likely not going to happen. We are strapped on cash. These three day weekends always seem to happen at the wrong point of the pay period for me. So little cash and so much month. I am sure you know the story. I do plan to enjoy myself as much as possible. Good company always makes up for not enough play.
For the past month I have been exercising very close to daily. I am getting used to it, and think it is time to increase the quantity and quality of the excercise. I have been walking approx. 1.8 ~ 2 miles a day for exercise, and have lost about 6 pounds in the past month. It does not sound like much, but it is a beginning. I need to do this for health purposes. Doctor wants to put me on Glucophage for Blood Sugar reasons. my Hemoglobin AC1 tests did not look as well as he wanted. After a discussion with him, we decided that we could take care of this with diet and exercise. Two months until the next blood work, and we shall see the results then.
So I blurted out this much with nothing to say? If you are actually reading this entry, I am sorry to bore you with these nothing tidbits, I am not a writer. This blog is an exercise for me. I want to write more often in order to compose my thought s properly in my head. Then I need to put them down in a structured fashion. This is all in an effort for me to be able to communicate better. What I hope to achieve by blogging (if you call the small amount of dribbling I do on here blogging) is to better put forth thoughts for others to see.
Enough of my dribbles. I have to begin preparing myself for the events of the day.
